Joint Reenactment of King Jeongjo’s Royal Parade

    This is the largest royal parade in Korea, perfectly recreating the eight-day grand procession of King Jeongjo from the year Eulmyo (1795), based on the [Wonhaeng Eulmyo Jeongni Uigwe]. You can experience the majestic procession firsthand as it travels from Changdeokgung Palace in Seoul, through Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon, and to Hwaseong Yungneung.

    This year’s Suwon Hwaseong Festival is a citizen-led event, where people of all ages will directly participate in the reenactment and experiential parade. The festival will also feature performances planned for the Suwon Hwaseong Parade, showcasing the event’s rich cultural heritage.
